Chris Brumley

Brewmaster

Chris secured a job as an Assistant Winemaker in Texas after graduating from Oregon State University in 2009 with a degree in fermentation science. After spending several years in Texas, Chris moved back home to Oregon to pursue his passion, craft beer. During his professional brewing career, Chris has brewed at Rogue Ales, Deschutes Brewery, and Cascade Lakes Brewery. When he isn’t brewing Chris enjoys hunting and fishing. His favorite Initiative beer is Hare of the Dog.

 

Ryan Churchill

Finance  

Ryan has had an entrepreneurial drive since his first job back in high school. Prior to spending his last year in the non-profit realm teaching finance to others, he transitioned his own business of three years to begin his pursuit of passion in the realm of craft brews. He graduated the University of Oregon in 2013 with his B.S. in economics and minors in business and mathematics. In addition to business ownership, he has over 8 years in the restaurant industry serving various roles. When he isn't looking over numbers on his computer, Ryan loves rock climbing and board gaming. His favorite Initiative beer is Taking Pourever Blonde.

 

Matt Anderson

Head Chef

With almost two decades of kitchen experience and most recently being the Head Chef at the Holiday Inn in Springfield, Matt's passion for food is only matched by his love for beer and Central Oregon. When Matt isn't cooking up something tasty, he enjoys going to the park with his kids and being outdoors exploring. His favorite beer is the Willpower Wheat.

  

Shane Sturza

Central Oregon Sales Manager

Shane has 5 years of craft brew experience and he has enjoyed every second of it. After spending over half a decade skiing, climbing, rafting, and just generally doing things outside, he discovered that he had a passion for the brewing world and the community that surrounds it. He was born and raised in Redmond and he does love his hometown hugely. His favorite Initiative Beer is Hoppy Habits, he also loves the Sunday Pasta Special (whatever it is).
